Author's Purpose
(Timothy Zahn has been praised for many of the Star Wars he has made. He has made the book Star Wars Heir to the Empire. This book has been said to be the book that saved Star Wars as whole. How did his adventure to save one of the most known and loved Si-Fi universes. He was born and raised in Chicago. Zahn's college degrees consist of a B.S. from the University of Michigan and a M.S. from the University of Illinois. Zahn had started writing science fiction as a hobby. For him it was just fun. He began to write more as he worked for his doctorate in physics. In 1980 he left University in order to write full time. He knew he could earn a living by writing stories, but did not achieve that goal until 1984. Popular opinion is that the Thrawn series is his best work as well as it had revived the Star Wars fans and brought them back. He won a Hugo award in 1984 and was nominated for the Hugo award on two other occasions. Zhan's books are known for being very well thought out as well as having an amazing plot to them. They are also known for having technology that is believable. His books have never felt rushed or to slow. He never wastes characters either; they all contribute to the plot and development of the story. He also has a background in physics which has helped him a lot with the story. His writing style has been very reminiscent of Kevin J. Anderson. The book Heir to the Empire was published three years prior to his winning of the Hugo award.
